A common complaint that related to the 1995 Lincoln Town Car had to do with the air suspension indi air max cator light, which frequently would not go off. Because the light remained on, it often led drivers to think they had a problem wit air max h their air suspension, which led to a rash of calls to Ford certified mechanics. After checking to ensure the air s air max uspension switch in the trunk was turned on as it should be, mechanics attributed the problem to a faulty indicator fuse, which they could easily fix in minutes,
The 1995 Lincoln Town Car’s air suspension u air max ses a small air compressor located just under the driver side left fender well with air lines that ran into the air bags. Often deemed faulty by mechanics, these relief valves required inspection to determine the need for replacement. Lincoln certified mechanics would check the top of each air bag, where an electrical valve doubled as a relief valve and allowed air to escape when activated. Functional relief valves would sense the amount of air pressure within the air bag to keep both sides level. If determined nonoperational, these valves required replacement to improve safety and vehicle performance.
